Book Across the Bay 2008 Community Grant Recipients

 

We are pleased to have made the following grants in 2008:

 

• Friends of the Washburn Public Library: $2,000 to support public programming 

 

• Tri-County Medical Society: $2,000 to support health and educational programming 

 

• Telemark Educational Foundation, Inc.: $700 to support a program of public water safety, swimming instruction, and water aerobics classes. 

 

• New Day Shelter: $1,020 to support their Children’s Program budget. 

 

• Ashland Community Garden Committee: $1,667 to support purchase of equipment and services to establish a community garden program. 

 

• 4-H CANSKI: $1,000 for the purchase of skis and equipment for use through its recreational ski program. 

 

• Lifespan Respite Care Northern Network: $1,500 to fund programming.
