Book Across the Bay 2007 Community Grant Recipients

 

We are pleased to have made the following grants in 2007:

 

• Penokee Mountain Cooperative School: $560 to fund purchase of equipment to aid in physical education activities for students.

 

• 4-H Chequemegon Area Cross Country Ski Club (4-H CANSKI): $1,809 to fund purchase of five pairs of skate ski packages, three folding wax benches, two waxing irons, and two respirators for use by the ski club.

 

• Recreation and Fitness Resources: $630 to fund half-price membership scholarships for three families at the Bayfield Area Recreation Center.

 

• Ashland Leisure Services: $680 for partial funding of the Just For Kids-After School Program.

 

• Northern Lights Health Care Services: $1,095 to fund purchase of educational aids to assist patients with their rehabilitation programs.

 

• Washburn Fire Department: $600 to fund purchase an ice-rescue suit.
